Safework has proven too strong in the BM 85 (1200m) at Eagle Farm today, recording his fourth, and thoroughly deserved win.

The honest 5yo gelding had been hot the heels of the place-getters in recent starts with little luck, was given the perfect steer from in-form hoop Martin Healy and the pair crossed the line with a length to spare over their closest rival.

Settle in the second half of the field, Safework trekked up behind the leading group full of running at the top of the straight and found himself on the back of Enterprise Pomme who was contesting the lead as the field entered the final furlong.

With little room on the outside, Healy took the inside option at the 150m and Safework was full of running – quickly getting the better for Entriprise Pomme before going away over the concluding stages to record a sold win.
